Corrections

Correct an invoice, expense, or VAT amount

Mistakes are fine as long as you fix them in the right way. This is the simple route.

1

Edit drafts directly

If an invoice is still a draft, edit it directly. Nothing has been posted as final yet.

2

Correct final invoices visibly

If an invoice is final, create a credit invoice or an additional invoice. This keeps the audit trail correct.

3

Check the VAT return first

Correct the source data and reconcile a filed return with its recorded amounts. For a difference already posted, use a correction case without a second journal entry.

4

Use the EUR 1,000 threshold

For errors in a filed return, assess related differences together. Include a VAT difference up to EUR 1,000 in the next return. Above that, file a supplementary return as soon as possible and within 8 weeks of discovery.

Important for the Dutch Tax Administration

UurKlus retains correction cases and recorded return reports. You submit returns and supplementary returns yourself and retain the confirmation. New credits and current tax events are not automatically errors in earlier returns.

What should I do with a wrongly recorded expense?
Correct the source data and reconcile a filed return with its recorded amounts. For a difference already posted, use a correction case without a second journal entry.
Why does my report look different than expected?
Reports are built from your entries. Check invoices, expenses, private entries, and VAT corrections first.
When do I use a VAT correction?
For errors in a filed return, assess related differences together. Include a VAT difference up to EUR 1,000 in the next return. Above that, file a supplementary return as soon as possible and within 8 weeks of discovery.
Is there more guidance per feature?
Yes. Alongside module guides, you will find VAT profiles, KOR, annual review, EC Sales Lists, historical errors and document retention. The tax guide also identifies schemes you must handle externally.
