Register time manually, with the stopwatch or with voice/text
Time entries are always linked to a project. You can create them manually, measure live time with the stopwatch or quickly book time through the command bar with text or microphone.
Entry point 1: manually through time/project
Use this when you want precise control over what you enter.
- 1 Go to the correct project and choose to add time. A time entry always belongs to one project.
- 2 Check the project name at the top of the form so you do not book on the wrong job.
- 3 Choose the date on which the work was done. The default date is today.
- 4 Enter the duration in minutes or hours. The app converts hours to minutes for storage.
- 5 Check the hourly rate excluding VAT. This usually comes from the project, but can be changed when entering.
- 6 Write a short description. It helps later with project review and invoicing.
Entry point 2: measure live time with the stopwatch
Use this when you start working and want UurKlus to track the time automatically.
- 1 Open the stopwatch from Time or through the separate Stopwatch menu item on a free account.
- 2 Choose the project you are working on. If the project does not exist yet, quickly create it with the plus button next to the project selector.
- 3 Optionally enter a description up front, for example what you are working on.
- 4 Start the stopwatch when you begin. The running timer remains visible in the bottom bar, so you can open it again from other pages.
- 5 Stop the stopwatch when you are done. Check duration, project and description before saving.
- 6 When saved, UurKlus creates a regular time entry. Rounding to 5, 10 or 15 minutes follows your company setting.
Entry point 3: voice/text commands
Use this for fast entry from the command bar.
- 1 Type your command in the command bar or click the microphone and speak it.
- 2 Mention at least duration and project or client. Example: "Book 2 hours on project Bathroom for yesterday".
- 3 If you only mention a client, UurKlus can only book when that client has exactly one active project.
- 4 Today, yesterday and tomorrow are converted to a concrete date in the Netherlands time zone.
- 5 UurKlus first shows a summary. Check project, client, duration, date and description before confirming.
- 6 After confirmation, the time entry is created and you are taken to the project details.
What is stored?
This determines how time is visible and billable later.
Required. Time without a project is not booked because invoicing and margin run per project.
The work date, not the date you enter it. This matters for weekly and monthly checks.
Stored in minutes. Duration must be greater than 0.
Manual entry uses the rate for calculation. Commands mainly book time/project.
Short explanation of the work. Write as if your client or bookkeeper may read it later.
Time already linked to an invoice cannot be edited or deleted from time management.
Good command examples
Short, concrete and with enough context works best.
