Projects

Use projects for work, hours and invoicing

A project groups work for a client. Use it to keep hours, costs, status and billing agreements together.

How it works

From request to completed work.

  1. 1 Create a project from the right client. This keeps hours, costs and invoices tied to the same relationship.
  2. 2 Give the project a recognizable name, for example "Bathroom renovation" or "April maintenance".
  3. 3 Choose the billing type: hourly or fixed price. This determines how you calculate and check later.
  4. 4 Check the hourly rate or fixed price. UurKlus can use the client default hourly rate as a starting point.
  5. 5 Keep status up to date, such as planned, in progress, completed or cancelled. This keeps your project list clear.
  6. 6 Link hours and expenses to the project if you want to check margin, costing or invoicing later.

Important fields

These fields determine how your project is read later.

Client

The client determines where invoices and overviews are linked. Choose this correctly from the start.

Status

Use status to filter work: draft, planned, in progress, completed or cancelled.

Billing type

Choose hourly when you invoice actual hours. Choose fixed price when the amount was agreed in advance.

Hourly rate

The rate is excluding VAT. Check different agreements per client or project.

Fixed price

Record the agreed amount excluding VAT and describe what is and is not included.

Description

Use this for scope, agreements or internal notes that help later when invoicing.

Hourly or fixed price

The choice affects how you check margin and invoices.

Hourly

Use this when you record hours and invoice based on them. Make sure hours are assigned to the right project.

Fixed price

Use this when the client pays an agreed amount. Still record hours for costing and margin insight.

Changes during the work

If the agreement changes, update the project before invoicing so amount and explanation match.
